Burley Summer Festival 2019: Scarecrow Trail

Part of this annual event included the popular scarecrow trail. The Scarecrow Trail and Competition featured throughout the Festival week and had exhibits scattered around the village . Scarecrow Trail maps, along with a voting form were available to buy and ​Judging went on throughout the week and was carried out by the participating public.

First Prize # 33 - Wizard of Oz - 72 points from 26 votes

Second Prize #36 - Lego Batman - 49 points from 22 votes

Third Prize #13 - Cruella De Vil - 35 points from 17 votes

Winner #36 - Plastic Free Burley with "The Devil Wears Plastic" - 93 points from 40 votes

The festival is is run by a Committee independent of the Parish Council which continues to be drawn from volunteers from within the village who organise, promote and coordinate the many events brought to the Festival by community groups and individuals from within and from outside the village.
